Supervisor drug & alcohol training, the way the rule requires it
Anyone who supervises CDL drivers must be trained to spot the signs of alcohol misuse and drug use before ordering a reasonable-suspicion test. Group or one-on-one, online, at your offices or at ours.
Mandatory for supervisors
Supervisors who may decide on a reasonable-suspicion test must receive 60 minutes of training on alcohol misuse and 60 minutes on controlled substances. 49 CFR 382.603.
Checked at the audit
Auditors ask for proof that each supervisor completed the training. We give you an attendance record for your drug and alcohol file.
